McKinney, Texas — Will Grier has taken an offensive-assistant role with the Cowboys after ending his playing career earlier this month.
The club announced July 24 that the former quarterback will report for the job next week, coinciding with the opening of training camp. ESPN reported that Grier had been with Carolina during the offseason before retiring July 15.
Carolina drafted Grier in the third round in 2019. He later had two Dallas stops, with most of his Cowboys work coming in the preseason or on practice squads.
Grier will work on Brian Schottenheimer’s staff and again share an organization with Dak Prescott.
