Jerry Jones says the Cowboys are still willing to deal after bringing cornerback Joey Porter Jr. to North Texas last week.
Speaking Wednesday on 105.3 The Fan, the owner and general manager said he remains interested in additions that could help Dallas now and in future seasons, according to the team’s report.
“So I’m open, we’re open,” Jones said. He did not identify another deal.
The NFL’s trading deadline is Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. Eastern, or 3 p.m. Central.
What Dallas gave up
The Cowboys announced their agreement to acquire Porter late Sept. 30, sending Pittsburgh a 2027 sixth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. It was the teams’ third trade since May 2025, following deals involving receiver George Pickens and offensive tackle Broderick Jones.
Porter made his Dallas debut in Sunday’s 34–30 win at Houston. Jones said his contribution came sooner than he had expected and praised what he could bring to the secondary as he learns the defense.
For McKinney fans, the next chance to watch Dallas is Thursday, Oct. 8, against Tampa Bay at AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is 7:15 p.m. CDT.
