Celebrate the Arts will take place at the Courtyard Theater in Plano on August 15, bringing together local arts organizations for a day of performances and activities. Located about 13 miles south of McKinney, this annual event is organized by Collaborative Arts of Plano (CAP).

The event is structured in two segments, allowing families to participate in either. A matinee designed for children will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and will include stage performances, art-making activities, and a musical instrument "Petting Zoo" hosted by the Plano Symphony Orchestra, where young attendees can try out various instruments. Tickets for the matinee are priced at $10.

Later in the evening, starting at 7 p.m., the showcase will feature 20 performances from various member organizations, along with speeches from civic leaders. This variety show will encompass music, dance, theater, and visual arts, complemented by a visual arts exhibition available for viewing prior to the performances.

Evening tickets cost $20 and include access to an afterparty with a DJ, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet the performers.

Established in 2015, CAP aims to promote Plano as a vibrant arts destination and currently includes 27 member organizations, reflecting the city's diverse cultural landscape.
