The series premiered on May 15, 2026, with a nine-episode run that concluded on July 3. It attracted 12.9 million viewers globally in its first week, marking the largest original series launch in the platform's history.
The cast features Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, along with Ed Harris and Annette Bening, among others. The show was created by Chad Feehan, who also served as the showrunner for its first season. Texas's Moving Image Industry Incentive Program played a role in attracting the production, providing financial support to film and television projects that spend within the state.
Paramount+ has confirmed a second season of "Dutton Ranch," though a release date has yet to be announced.
