Collin College’s electronics training program and dean Tripat Baweja have received the 2026 Tech Titans of the Future award in the college and university category, recognizing a workforce-training effort that serves North Texas.

The college announced the honor Sept. 28. The Electronic Engineering Technology program is based at the Technical Campus in Allen, rather than at a McKinney campus.

More than 160 students are enrolled in the program, according to the college. Its training options include credentials that build toward larger qualifications, dual-credit partnerships and a Raytheon apprenticeship.

The college credits Baweja and her team with revising the degree plan and bringing employer visits and industry presentations into students’ coursework. It also says she secured more than $500,000 in federal grants supporting laboratory equipment and outreach.

For McKinney readers considering regional technical education, the campus is at 2550 Bending Branch Way in Allen. The college’s campus directory lists its engineering-technology offerings.
