McKinney's Parks and Recreation department has posted the dates for its two marquee fall events.

The Mexican Independence Day Celebration is set for Sept. 12. The city has published event information and is taking vendor applications for the celebration now.

The Trick or Treat Trail, the city's family Halloween event, follows on Oct. 17. Vendor and food-vendor applications for the trail are listed as coming soon on the city's special events page.

For vendors and sponsors

Both events run vendor programs, and the city's special events page carries the applications, with sponsorship inquiries handled by the Parks and Recreation special events office by email.

Times, locations and further details for both events are posted on the city's special events page as the dates approach.
