McKinney, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.2920 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 2, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.2670 yesterday. That is up from $3.2120 a week ago but lower than $3.7330 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3440, while the national average is $3.8380. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its recorded high of $4.8370, set on June 16, 2022. Regular prices are about 44 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7400, drivers are paying about 55 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.3190 per gallon, AAA reported.
