Hayden Wesneski delivered a strong pitching performance to help the Houston Astros defeat the Los Angeles Angels, 7-4, at Angel Stadium on Thursday. Wesneski earned the win, improving his record to 1-0, while allowing three earned runs over 5.2 innings of work. He struck out four batters and walked two, despite giving up seven hits.
The Astros established an early lead in the first inning. Grissom doubled to left field, driving in Neto and Trout to give Houston a 2-0 advantage. Adell followed with a single to left, scoring Grissom and extending the lead to 3-0 before the Angels could respond.
Angels Fight Back
