Javonte Williams’ three rushing touchdowns powered a late surge that allowed the visiting Dallas Cowboys to defeat the host Houston Texans 34-30 on Sunday. The decisive momentum shifted in the fourth quarter when Williams and CeeDee Lamb struck for the winning points at Reliant Stadium.
The final whistle marked a significant victory for Dallas, improving their record to 2-2, while Houston fell to 0-4 on the season. Attendance at the venue reached 71,227 for the matchup, which featured high scoring and sustained drives from both offenses.
Early Field Goal Exchange

The fourth quarter delivered the game’s climax. Williams secured another two-yard touchdown, putting Dallas ahead 27-23. Houston answered immediately with a six-yard rush by Woody Marks, tying the game at 30-30.
With the score level, the pressure mounted on both offenses. In the final moments, Dak Prescott connected with Lamb for a 12-yard touchdown pass. The subsequent kick by Aubrey gave Dallas the 34-30 lead.
Prescott finished with 335 passing yards and one touchdown, while Lamb recorded 17 receptions for 189 yards. Stroud threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns, and Williams rushed for 62 yards and three scores. The result leaves the Cowboys with a .500 record, while the Texans remain winless.
