The animated series "King of the Hill" has returned with 10 new episodes for its 15th season, which premiered on Hulu on July 20. The fictional town of Arlen, where the show is set, is modeled on Richardson, Texas, a fact acknowledged by co-creator Mike Judge, who lived there during the 1990s while developing the series.
Season 15 not only features familiar elements of North Texas but also includes the University of Texas at Dallas, located in Richardson. The season showcases various local landmarks, including Hank repairing Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas and an appearance by Whataburger.
In this season, Hank and Peggy navigate retirement on Rainey Street while Bobby, now an adult, operates a fusion restaurant in Dallas and pursues a spot on a reality cooking show. The voice cast includes Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss.
The series continues to reflect the culture and environment of North Texas, with schools in Arlen named after Dallas Cowboys figures.
