Two auto repair shops are seeking permission to operate in McKinney, and the City Council will hold public hearings on both at its regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Each request is for a specific use permit for minor vehicle repair, along with an ordinance that would grant it.
Local's Auto
The first request, from Local's Auto, is for a site at the southwest corner of Wilmeth Road and North Hardin Boulevard. When the Planning and Zoning Commission heard it on Sept. 22, two nearby residents spoke against it. The commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval.
Integrity 1st Auto Repair
The second, from Integrity 1st Auto Repair, covers a site on the east side of Coit Road about 650 feet south of Virginia Parkway. No one spoke during the commission's public hearing on Sept. 22, and commissioners voted 7-0 to recommend approval.
