Lewisville police have arrested a man from McKinney following an investigation conducted by their Crimes Against Children division. The department announced the arrest in a release issued on Friday, detailing how the case originated from multiple tips received in July 2026 regarding suspected child sexual abuse material.
Investigators traced those reports to Paulo Gonzales, a resident of McKinney, identifying him as a suspect in the matter. In August, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for his residence. The search was executed by the Lewisville Police Department SWAT team alongside Dallas officers. A specialized canine unit trained to detect electronic devices assisted in the operation at the home.
The search resulted in Gonzales being charged with Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault. He was taken into custody at his residence. Additionally, he faces a separate charge from Denton County, though specific details regarding that additional allegation were not provided in the release.
