Avelo Airlines is introducing direct flights connecting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with McKinney National Airport, located approximately 35 miles northeast of downtown Dallas. The new route launches on November 19, with flights scheduled five times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
This addition marks Avelo’s expansion at McKinney, where the carrier serves as the anchor airline. The airline will also operate flights to three other Florida destinations from McKinney: twice-weekly service to Fort Myers begins November 11, five-times weekly flights to Orlando start November 12, and four-times weekly service to Tampa commences November 19.
All new routes utilize 184-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft based at the Texas airport.
Introductory one-way fares for the Fort Lauderdale route start at $99. Bookings made through July include a complimentary first checked bag. Reservations are available through the airline’s website. Details regarding specific ticket availability beyond the introductory price or long-term schedule adjustments remain not yet clear.
