Avelo Airlines has identified five nonstop destinations for its inaugural operations at McKinney National Airport (DTX). The carrier will fly to Las Vegas, Nevada, and four Florida cities: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa. Service is scheduled to begin on November 11, 2026, with flights operating from Wednesday through Monday.
The launch aligns with the opening of DTX’s new 46,000-square-foot passenger terminal at 1910 FM 546. The facility features four boarding gates, a 980-space parking lot, and onsite car rental services. Avelo will base two aircraft at the airport and serve as one of five national crew bases, a move the airline states will create over 100 local jobs.
City officials and airline leadership highlighted the economic impact of the partnership. McKinney Mayor Bill Cox noted the service meets growing regional demand, while Avelo CEO Andrew Levy described the airport as a community on the rise.
