The Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and McKinney Repertory Theatre are inviting dancers of every experience level to a Regency-era Masquerade Harvest Ball on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Gather on the Square, 207 East Virginia Street in downtown McKinney.
Guests are encouraged to come in period dress and a mask. No dance experience or partner is needed: dancers change partners with each number, and callers walk the room through dances from the era.
Music will come from Mad Robin, an English country dance band whose repertoire runs from the 1600s to today. The North Texas Traditional Dance Society is bringing the band and the callers, and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce is providing the venue.
The evening opens with a pre-ball cocktail hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. For tickets and details, the Heard-Craig Center can be reached at 972-569-6909.
