McKinney's annual Trick or Treat Trail is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bonnie Wenk Park, 2996 Virginia Parkway. The city identifies the park as this year's new location.

Admission is free and the event is open to all ages, according to the city's holiday activities calendar. Planned activities include trick-or-treating, amusement rides, games, food, dancing and family photo opportunities. Roaming judges will select costume-contest winners, and the event is scheduled rain or shine.

Businesses and organizations interested in participating have an earlier deadline. Food-vendor and booth-participant applications are due Tuesday, Oct. 6, at noon, or sooner if spaces fill. Both application links are on the city's Special Events page.
