McKinney Library hosts bird photography presentation for adults

The McKinney Public Library System will host a bird photography presentation for adults on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The event, titled "Bird Photography (Adults)," is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is located at the John and Judy Gay Library.

The program features Jacob Drapkin of the Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society. Participants will learn the basics of bird photography in a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question and answer session. The library states the program aims to leverage community partnerships to offer specialized knowledge, launch discovery and self-directed learning, and serve the diverse needs and interests of the community.

Registration is required for the event, with 42 seats available. Attendees must select the number of participants when registering. Although the location is listed as the John and Judy Gay Library, the announcement notes that this is an online event. The online event URL will be sent via email to confirm registration.

The Roy & Helen Hall Memorial Library is currently closed for renovations. During this period, holds and returns are available at the John & Judy Gay Library and McKinney City Hall.
