The McKinney Public Library System is offering free, in-person genealogy office hours for adults, providing individualized support from partners at the North Collin County Genealogical Society. The sessions are scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, Sunday, October 4, 2026, and Sunday, November 1, 2026. Each session will run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the John and Judy Gay Library.
The program aims to serve the diverse needs and interests of the community by launching discovery and self-directed learning. It also leverages community partnerships to offer specialized knowledge. The Collin County Genealogical Society, which is presenting the sessions, states its mission is to support researchers of all levels through educational programs, workshops, seminars, preservation, publication, and library support.
