The McKinney Public Library System is hosting a Crochet Club for students in sixth through twelfth grade. The program is designed to offer creative learning opportunities and improve access to tools for self-directed learning. All skill levels are welcome to participate.
The first session is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A second session will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the same time. Both events will be held at the John and Judy Gay Library.
The Roy and Helen Hall Memorial library is currently closed for renovations, so holds and returns are available at the John and Judy Gay Library and McKinney City Hall.
Participants will receive guidance and crochet materials are provided. The program structure includes a welcome and overview of expectations, an introduction to the day's challenge, dedicated crochet time with assistance, and a wrap-up period for cleanup.
