The Dallas Cowboys have signed former All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller to a one-year contract, marking his return to Texas. Miller, who is the NFL's active leader in career sacks, announced the signing through an Instagram post stating, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
A native of DeSoto, Texas, located approximately 25 minutes south of Dallas, Miller played college football at Texas A&M. He enters his 15th NFL season after spending the previous year with the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks over 17 games.
Miller has had a distinguished career, winning two Super Bowls—one with the Denver Broncos in the 2015 season and another with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He was drafted second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos and has also played for the Buffalo Bills.
With a total of 138.5 career sacks, Miller ranks first among active players and is tied for 13th all-time with DeMarcus Ware, a fellow Hall of Famer and former Cowboy. His career statistics include 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games. He has also been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and has received three First Team All-Pro honors.
