A student-athlete from Crandall High School in North Texas was airlifted to a hospital due to an injury sustained during practice on Wednesday, as reported by Crandall Independent School District.

The district announced via social media that a helicopter landed near the baseball fields at the high school to transport the injured player for further medical care. Crandall ISD expressed concern for the student and their family, asking the community to honor their privacy during this period.

Details about the injury itself and the events leading up to it have not been made public. WFAA has sought additional information from the district, but specifics remain unclear.
