The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with several defensive injuries after the first three games of the 2026 regular season, with multiple players expected to miss at least several weeks. The latest injuries involve Jonathan Bullard, Jalen Thompson and Shavon Revel after the team’s loss to Baltimore in Rio.
Bullard is projected to miss three to five weeks because of a calf injury, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in an interview with 105.3 The Fan. Bullard also missed most of training camp because of an earlier injury.
Thompson is expected to be out for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury. He could join fellow safety P.J. Locke on injured reserve with a designation to return. The Cowboys have held workouts for additional safeties, including former Dallas player Juanyeh Thomas.
Revel has the most favorable update among the newest injuries. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Revel is dealing with issues involving a knee and ankle, but not the knee he injured in college. Schottenheimer said the cornerback is expected to begin working back into practice this week, leaving open the possibility that he could play when Dallas travels to Houston for Week 4.
Revel was seen walking without crutches or another aid after the game, although a limp was noticeable.
