Jalen Thompson is expected to miss more than four weeks with a hamstring injury, and the Dallas Cowboys are considering additions at safety, according to information reported by clutchpoints.com.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones provided the update during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan. Jon Machota of The Athletic reported on X that Jones said the team will look for help at the position because of its injuries at safety. The Cowboys have not identified where that help might come from.
Thompson was injured during Dallas' 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. The Cowboys appeared to have a chance to force overtime late in the game, but Baltimore completed a long pass before making a field goal that decided the result.
Dallas entered the game 1-1 and now has a 1-2 record. The team will next play the Houston Texans in Houston next Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Houston is 0-3, according to the report.
