The Dallas Cowboys announced on Wednesday that quarterback Joe Milton has rejoined the team as a member of the practice squad. Milton was released earlier this week after being edged out by Sam Howell for the backup quarterback position behind Dak Prescott.
Milton became a free agent after going unclaimed on waivers, but the Cowboys have opted to bring him back into the fold. Howell expressed his commitment to the team, stating, "The job doesn't stop now," emphasizing the need for continued hard work to maintain his position.
In addition to Milton's return, the Cowboys have made other roster moves, including the signing of running back Emari Demercado off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs. Demercado's former coach, Andy Reid, praised his abilities, highlighting his skills in pass protection and running.
The Cowboys also celebrated Camden Brown's successful bid to make the final roster, although the way he learned of his inclusion was unconventional, as he found out through social media.
Quinnen Williams, entering his second season with the Cowboys, remarked on the positive changes within the team, particularly on the defensive side, describing the growth as "night and day" compared to the previous season. He noted the impact of training camp and the coaching staff's mindset on the team's development.
