A football player from Crandall High School sustained an injury during practice on Wednesday and was airlifted for medical care. This incident occurred at the PIT in Crandall, a community situated about 20 miles east of Dallas.
To inform the local community, Crandall Independent School District (ISD) shared a notice on social media regarding the helicopter's arrival near the baseball fields, which was essential for the student’s transport. The district also acknowledged that the sight of emergency vehicles and the helicopter might cause concern among families and aimed to keep them informed about the situation.
In its statement, Crandall ISD urged the community to honor the family's privacy during this challenging time. The district expressed its support, stating, "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family." CBS News Texas will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
