As the Dallas Cowboys gear up for Week 1 of the NFL season, they are entering the game with a largely healthy roster. The team has avoided major injuries during the offseason, which bodes well for their performance throughout the season.

However, two players on the active roster are currently dealing with injuries that fans should monitor. Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard has been sidelined for a significant portion of the offseason due to an abdominal and groin injury.

He was seen participating in rehab activities as of September 1, suggesting he might be available for the season opener, though he may require additional time to fully recover.

Bullard, who joined the Cowboys through free agency, is expected to enhance the team's run defense, which struggled last season, allowing the 10th-most rushing yards per game.

Offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius is also recovering from an injury. He missed practice as recently as September 2 but was spotted doing rehab work on September 1, indicating a possibility of his return for Week 1, depending on his progress. Cornelius has shown promise during training camp and secured a reserve spot on the roster, showcasing versatility with experience at both guard and tackle.

Additionally, the Cowboys have placed linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore on injured reserve. Both players have been designated to return after a mandatory four-week absence. Liufau suffered a fractured forearm during the preseason finale, which necessitated surgery, while Moore is dealing with a hip injury after previously struggling with a groin issue during training camp.

Given Moore's ongoing injury history, his potential contributions this season remain uncertain.

The Cowboys will continue to monitor the health of their players as they prepare for their upcoming game, hoping for a successful start to the 2026 season.
