Six Texans were absent from Wednesday's practice, with five players working through injuries and tight end Dalton Schultz receiving a rest day.
The injured absences were offensive tackle Trent Brown with knee and wrist issues, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with a knee problem, wide receiver Nico Collins with a hamstring injury, linebacker Jake Hummel with a groin issue and offensive guard Ed Ingram with a groin injury.
Collins hurt his hamstring during practice last week and did not play in the Texans' Week 2 loss to the Bengals. The report did not provide additional details about the status of the players who missed practice.
Three players were limited: defensive ends Will Anderson Jr. and Logan Hall, who were listed with rest and a knee issue, respectively, and safety M.J. Stewart, who also was listed with a knee issue. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, both dealing with thumb injuries, took part fully.
