The Dallas Cowboys will be without four defensive players for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, safeties P.J. Locke and Malik Hooker, and cornerback Cobie Durant have been ruled out.

The absences include three defensive starters, along with Locke, who serves as Dallas’ third safety and a primary reserve. The Cowboys will face a Baltimore offense led by Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. Dallas ranked 29th among the NFL’s 32 teams in total defense through the first two games of this season after finishing in the bottom three in that category in 2025.

Two of the players unavailable against Baltimore could have an opportunity to return in Week 4 against the Houston Texans. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team has not ruled out Overshown, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, or Hooker, who is recovering from a forearm injury.

Both players missed Dallas’ Week 2 victory over the Washington Commanders. Hooker sustained his forearm fracture against the New York Giants in the season opener, while Overshown suffered his hamstring strain during that game. Overshown also handles the defensive communication role from the middle of the unit.

A return for either player has not been confirmed. Durant, who has a hamstring injury, and Locke, who has a foot injury, are not expected to be ready for the Houston game based on the information provided. None of the four players practiced during the week or traveled to Brazil.
