The Houston Texans are exploring the possibility of adding Jaden Davis, a former cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, to their roster. Davis, who stands at 5-foot-10, has recently been medically cleared and participated in a workout with the Texans, as reported by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was selected by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall pick. His performance has drawn some attention, with The Athletic's Dane Brugler listing him among the "best of the rest" in his draft guide.

NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted that while Davis possesses above-average foot quickness and agility, he has yet to demonstrate the ball production typically expected from a player with his skill set.

The Texans are particularly interested in bolstering their cornerback position due to injuries that have affected the team this season, as well as a similar situation in 2025. Currently, the Texans are utilizing Jalen Pitre, a safety, in the nickelback position, and they drafted Jaylin Smith in the third round of the 2025 draft, although Smith missed a significant portion of his rookie season.

As the Texans continue to assess their options, it remains to be seen whether they will formally sign Davis. Further updates on this situation are anticipated as the team evaluates their needs and potential roster changes.
