The Houston Texans announced the signing of former Denver Broncos running back Deuce Vaughn on Monday. Vaughn, who stands at 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 185 pounds, was previously on the Broncos' practice squad for the entire 2025 season after joining in September. He re-signed with Denver on a reserve/future deal in January but was released in May.

Vaughn subsequently played for the UFL's Orlando Storm before returning to the NFL with the Texans.

In a corresponding move, the Texans waived former Broncos wide receiver Juwann Winfree. Additionally, the team worked out ex-Denver receiver Josh Reynolds and running back Blake Watson, as noted in the NFL's transaction wire.

Four other former Broncos practice squad players remain free agents after their contracts expired in February, including quarterback Ben DiNucci, tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Patrick Murtagh, and defensive back Delarrin Turner-Yell. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Jonathan Harris has worked out for the Minnesota Vikings.

Further details regarding the Texans' roster changes and the future of the waived players were not immediately available.
