Baylor football announced its initial depth chart for the 2026 season on Monday, just days before their opening game against Auburn.
On offense, DJ Lagway is listed as the starting quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy as potential backups. Senior Dawson Pendergrass will start at running back, supported by Caden Knighten and Michael Turner, along with freshmen Ryelan Morris and Jacorey Watson.
The wide receiver positions feature Louis Brown IV and either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter as starters. Gavin Freeman is set to play as the slot wide receiver, backed up by Jayden McGowan. Matthew Klopfenstein will start at tight end, with several backups including Tony Livingston and Parker Almanza.
On the offensive line, Logan Moore is the starting left tackle, while Nate Kibble and Koltin Sieracki will start at left guard and center, respectively. Asher Hale and Kaden Sieracki are the starters for right guard and right tackle.
Defensively, Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack is slated to start at defensive end, with Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington at defensive tackle. Hosea Wheeler or Jamaal Whyce Jr. will take on the nose tackle position. The linebacker positions include Travion Barnes as the MIKE linebacker and Kyland Reed as the WILL linebacker.
In the secondary, Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. will start as cornerbacks, while Colby McCalister or Tyler Turner will play free safety, and Devin Turner or Jacob Redding will be at strong safety.
