A Dominant Home Performance

The Texas A&M Aggies secured a decisive victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks, closing out Saturday’s contest at Kyle Field with a final score of 34-7. Played before a crowd of 108,657 spectators in College Station, Texas, the game saw the home team establish control early and maintain it throughout all four quarters.

First Quarter Surge

Texas A&M set the tone immediately, jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the opening period. The Aggies’ offense struck first when KJ Edwards rumbled in for a 20-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful kick from David Olano. Arkansas responded briefly with a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Carsyn Baker and an Olano extra point to make it 7-14.

However, the Aggies regained momentum late in the quarter as KJ Jackson connected with Chris Marshall on a 26-yard pass for another Texas A&M score.

Halftime Lead

The second quarter saw Texas A&M extend their advantage significantly. Marcel Reed added to the scoreboard with a 1-yard touchdown run, capped by Olano’s kick, pushing the lead to 21-7. Olano then booted a 57-yard field goal before halftime, bringing the halftime score to 24-7 in favor of the Aggies.

Closing Out the Game

Texas A&M continued its offensive pressure in the third quarter. KJ Edwards found the end zone again, this time on a 3-yard run, with Olano’s kick making it 31-7. The Razorbacks were unable to mount any significant comeback attempts during this period.

In the fourth quarter, David Olano sealed the win with a 50-yard field goal, finalizing the score at 34-7. The Aggies’ defense held firm, preventing Arkansas from scoring any additional points.

Key Performances

KJ Edwards was instrumental for Texas A&M, rushing for 66 yards on 11 carries and scoring two touchdowns. Marcel Reed contributed significantly through the air, completing 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards. On the receiving end, Kiotti Armstrong recorded one catch for 54 yards.

For Arkansas, KJ Jackson threw for 111 yards on 13-of-25 passing, including one touchdown and one interception. Sutton Smith led the Razorbacks' rushing attack with 41 yards on six carries, while Chris Marshall caught seven passes for 76 yards and one touchdown.

With this result, Texas A&M improves its record to 3-2, while Arkansas falls to 2-3.
