Missouri State fell to 0-1 after being shut out entirely by the Aggies' defensive unit.
Reed and Horton Lead the Charge
Marcel Reed was the focal point of the Aggies’ attack, completing 21 of 30 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. His most significant contribution came in the first quarter, when he connected with Isaiah Horton on a 15-yard pass to give Texas A&M an early 7-0 lead. Horton finished the day with four receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown, serving as the primary target for Reed. Dillon Hipp was the Bears' leading receiver with two catches for 15 yards, but the team could not sustain any drives long enough to threaten the scoreboard. The Aggies’ balanced approach, combining Reed’s passing with strong rushing efforts from players like Rueben Owens II, who had 17 carries for 77 yards, ensured the margin of victory remained wide throughout the contest.
