Rangers edge Angels 2-1 in 10th at Globe Life Field

The Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 2-1 on Saturday, August 22, at Globe Life Field. The contest was decided in the 10th inning when the home team outscored the visitors. In the top of the 10th, the Angels took a 1-0 lead when Siri scored on a double by Guzman.

The Rangers responded in the bottom of the 10th with two runs. Langford doubled to right, allowing Carter to score and tying the game 1-1. Then, Duran reached on an infield single, and Langford scored on a throwing error by third baseman Guzman, giving the Rangers the 2-1 lead.

Pitching Performance

MacKenzie Gore started for the Rangers and pitched six innings. He allowed two hits and one walk while striking out seven batters. He did not allow any earned runs.

The Rangers' bullpen kept the Angels at bay for the rest of the regulation game. Cole Winn pitched one inning with no hits, no earned runs, and two strikeouts. Chase Silseth pitched one inning, allowing one walk and one hit, with one strikeout.
