Adell and Trout Deliver Offensive Surge
Jo Adell and Mike Trout provided the primary offensive firepower as the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Texas Rangers 13-1 at Globe Life Field. Adell recorded two home runs, while Trout added a solo shot, helping Los Angeles build an insurmountable lead early in the contest.
Early Inning Dominance
The Angels’ scoring began in the first inning when Grissom singled to left field, allowing Neto to score. The gap widened in the fourth inning when Adell launched a 359-foot home run to right field, driving in Grissom to make the score 3-0.
Los Angeles extended its advantage significantly in the fifth inning. Grissom singled to left, bringing Neto home for a 4-0 lead. Shortly after, Adell hit a 433-foot home run to center field, scoring both Trout and Grissom in a three-run burst that pushed the score to 7-0.
The offensive production continued into the sixth inning. Grissom doubled to right field, allowing Lowe and Neto to cross the plate, increasing the margin to 9-0.
Late Innings and Final Score
In the eighth inning, Trout homered to left center, a 438-foot shot that scored Lowe, making the score 11-0. Texas managed to put one run on the board later in the inning when Higashioka hit a 389-foot home run to left center.
