Aranda's 10th-Inning Blast Seals Rays' 6-3 Win Over Rangers

Late Surge Decides the Game

The decisive moment of the contest arrived in the bottom of the 10th inning, when Yandy Aranda connected with a three-run home run to right center. The blast, which traveled 409 feet, allowed Jose Mateo and Yandy Diaz to score, extending the Tampa Bay Rays' lead to 6-3.

Scoring Sequence

The action intensified in the top of the eighth. A single to left by Yandy Diaz allowed a run to score, increasing the lead to 3-1. Shortly after, a 421-foot home run to right center by Yandy Diaz brought the score to 3-2.

The Rangers tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth when a double to center by Yandy Diaz scored a runner. The Rays then broke the tie in the top of the 10th with Aranda's decisive homer.

Pitching Performance

Drew Rasmussen led the pitching for Tampa Bay, recording the win. He threw seven innings, allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out seven batters. Tyler Wells closed the game, pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

For the Rangers, Jacob deGrom started, pitching six innings with four hits allowed and two earned runs. Jacob Latz took the loss, pitching 1.2 innings, allowing one hit and two earned runs. The final score was Tampa Bay Rays 6, Texas Rangers 3, with attendance of 31,657 at Globe Life Field.

The Rangers finished the game with a record of 70-73, while the Rays improved to 85-57.
