Shortly after, Michael Burger crossed the plate on Diaz’s sacrifice fly to left field, sealing the victory for the visitors.

Early Lead and Mid-Inning Surge

Tampa Bay established an early lead in the second inning when Brandon Duran homered to center field. The game tightened in the third when Luis Rengifo tied it 1-1 with a home run to right center. The Rays extended their lead to 2-1 in the fourth with a home run by Yandy Diaz to right field.

Kumar Rocker took the loss for Texas, pitching five innings while allowing nine hits and five earned runs. He struck out three batters and did not walk anyone. The Rangers finished with a record of 70-72, while the Rays improved to 84-57. Attendance at Globe Life Field was 25,584.
