Ratrodtober, a car show that organizers say began as a gathering of friends and builders, returns for its 10th edition Saturday, Oct. 10, at Tupps Brewery in downtown McKinney.
The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the brewery, 402 E. Louisiana St. Organizers expect rat rods, hot rods, classic and muscle cars and motorcycles, along with live music, local vendors, food and beer.
Showing a car
Online pre-registration has closed, but owners can still register a vehicle on the morning of the show starting at 7:30 a.m., according to the event's website. The site says early registrants receive an official event T-shirt.
Raffle for veterans
Proceeds from the show's raffle go to the We Defy Foundation, a nonprofit that the organizers say helps combat veterans with military-connected disabilities through Brazilian jiu-jitsu, paying for training and equipment through scholarships.
The Visit McKinney listing and the event site do not post a spectator admission price.
The brewery sits on about 4 acres on the east side of downtown, with a 25,000-square-foot production brewery and more than 40,000 square feet of buildings, according to the event site.
