State insurance regulators launch fraud task force with 63 members from police, insurers and consumer groups
The Texas Department of Insurance held the group's first meeting Monday. Its Fraud Unit got more than 20,000 reports of suspected fraud last year, and the agency says paid fraudulent claims push up costs for everyone else.
