McKinney ISD said the Board of Trustees welcomed newly appointed trustee Jennifer Gray at its Monday, Sept. 14, meeting, where she took the oath of office and filled the Place 6 seat.
In a Sept. 15 district announcement, McKinney ISD said the board also marked the departure of longtime trustee Stephanie O’Dell, who resigned in August. The board approved Gray’s appointment at a special meeting on Aug. 17, and she will serve through the remainder of O’Dell’s term.
Board President Amy Dankel, quoted in the district’s earlier appointment announcement and restated in the Sept. 15 post, said Gray has a longstanding commitment to McKinney ISD through service as a parent, volunteer, committee member and employee.
According to McKinney ISD, Gray and her husband have lived in McKinney since 1995 and are parents of two district graduates. Her volunteer roles have included PTA and PTO board service at Walker Elementary, McGowen Elementary and McKinney Boyd High School, plus leadership with the McKinney Boyd Orchestra Booster Club.
The district said Gray also served on campus and district site-based decision-making committees and on several bond and facilities groups, including the 2015, 2021 and 2025 bond committees and the 2025 Facility Alignment Committee.
