Shoppers in Frisco, a city located approximately 12 miles west of McKinney, are arriving at dawn to purchase baked goods from a small business operating out of a residential front porch. The venture, known as Little Bit Bakery, has attracted a steady stream of customers who learn quickly that late arrivals often result in empty hands.
The menu rotates on a weekly basis but frequently features fresh sourdough loaves, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, and oatmeal cream pies. On a typical Saturday, the baker produces roughly 85 loaves of sourdough and nearly 100 English muffins, alongside other items. To manage this volume, the owner has purchased a dedicated bread oven, noting that the equipment was essential for increasing production capacity.
The business began during the pandemic when the owner, Henson, started decorating custom cakes from home. She expanded operations last September by moving her products to a rolling cart on her porch. This shift created a neighborhood-focused retail experience that has drawn repeat patrons.
Customers have expressed strong satisfaction with the products and the personal nature of the business. Dana Eagle, a regular shopper, said she arrived shortly after 6 a.m. on a recent Saturday. She described the baked goods as phenomenal and worth the early wake-up call, though she admitted she does not know the specific ingredients or methods used.
Delilah Navarette, visiting for the first time, said she was unaware of how early she needed to arrive. She noted that the community has formed a supportive dynamic around the shop. Navarette described the regulars as acting like family, wishing the owner well and supporting her efforts.
