A North Texas woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison following her conviction for murder in the death of her infant child. The incident occurred in Frisco, a city located approximately 12 miles west of McKinney.
Frisco police identified the defendant as 27-year-old Vanessa Esquivel. According to investigators, Esquivel left her 15-month-old child inside a parked vehicle in August. The child remained in the car for more than two hours while the vehicle sat outside.
