McKinney police announced the arrest of two individuals linked to a deadly shooting that occurred near an apartment complex in June. The arrests involve a man and a teenager, bringing the investigation into the June 19 incident closer to resolution.

Authorities stated that a man was taken into custody on June 20. He is currently facing charges of criminal conspiracy to commit capital murder. Subsequently, on July 1, a 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the same case. Due to the minor's age, his identity has not been released to the public. The teen faces a capital murder charge.

The fatal incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on June 19 near the Larkin Apartments, located at 2301 W. White Street. Responding officers discovered a victim inside a vehicle. The man, identified as 19-year-old Jose Herberto Martin, had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck.

Martin was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Police confirmed that he later died from his injuries.

Law enforcement officials indicated that there are no other suspects currently at large in relation to this shooting. The case remains open as the legal process continues for the two individuals in custody.
