Residents and visitors in North Texas have a variety of extended-run events to attend this summer, ranging from immersive theater and major sporting tournaments to art exhibitions and historical displays. The following activities are currently scheduled across the region.
Soccer fans have multiple options to engage with the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. From June 14 through July 14, nine matches will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. In Frisco, which is located about 12 miles west of McKinney, the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration runs from June 11 to July 19 at Simpson Plaza.
This 34-day festival features live match screenings, interactive activities, live music, and food. Entry requires free tickets. A similar celebration, the Dallas Fan Fest, takes place from June 11 to July 19 at Fair Park in Dallas, offering match screenings and cultural experiences.
For those interested in the science and history of the sport, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas hosts Soccer: More Than a Game from March 7 through September 7. This 10,000-square-foot interactive exhibition uses STEM-focused displays to explore the physics and strategy behind soccer. Meanwhile, the Frisco Heritage Museum presents Legends of Soccer from June 15 through December 1.
This free exhibit highlights World Cup history through tributes to players such as Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, and Pelé, along with footage from past tournaments.
Cultural and artistic exhibitions are also prominent. Cosm Dallas in The Colony offers an immersive Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone experience from May 7 through July 2. Utilizing 12K LED dome technology, the event blends cinema with themed environments.
