The McKinney Public Library System will host a Nature Walk Storytime event for participants of all ages on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The in-person program is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the John & Judy Gay Library. The event is designed for strollers, walkers, waddlers, and those using wagons, encouraging a stroll around the library grounds while enjoying stories, songs, and bubbles.
The theme for the September 26 session is Fat Bear Week. The program agenda includes a welcome and expectations review, a hello song, stories and songs, walking and talking, a goodbye song, and a final activity involving bubbles and a stamp.
The library states that the program goals are to enhance and encourage literacy, launch discovery and self-directed learning, and foster community involvement and relationship building.
