McKinney Library Hosts NERF Battle for Teens in September

The McKinney Public Library System will host an event titled "NERF ATTCK" for students in grades 6 through 12 on Friday, September 18, 2026. The activity is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the John and Judy Gay Library.

The event description invites participants to "grab your blasters" for a high-energy battle involving bouncing darts and nonstop fun. According to the library's announcement, attendees will first receive an explanation of the rules before splitting into teams to play Capture the Flag using NERF blasters.

Registration is required for this event. There are 29 seats available for participants. Individuals interested in attending must select a ticket quantity based on the number of participants during the online registration process. The library notes that the event is listed as an online event, and the URL will be sent to registrants via email upon confirmation.

The Roy & Helen Hall Memorial library is currently closed for renovations. During this period, holds and returns are available at the John and Judy Gay Library and McKinney City Hall.

By attending the NERF ATTCK event, participants consent to their voice, name, and/or likeness being used without compensation in promotional materials devised by or known to the City of McKinney. Attendees also release the city's assignees and licensees from any liability whatsoever. The announcement states that individuals who do not wish to be subject to these terms should not attend.
