The McKinney Police Department will host National Night Out on October 6, 2026. The department invites residents to participate in neighborhood events designed to increase community spirit and improve police-community partnerships.

Residents are encouraged to register their block parties by October 1. To find out about specific events in their area, the department recommends speaking with a local crime watch captain. National Night Out is described by the department as a way to keep the city safer while fostering neighborhood connections.

For neighborhoods that do not currently have a crime watch captain, the Police Department’s Crime Prevention and Education unit is available to provide information about the program. Residents can contact the unit by email or by calling 972-547-2844.

The McKinney Police Department is located at 2200 Taylor Burk Dr., McKinney, TX 75071. The non-emergency line is 972-547-2700, and the lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For emergencies, residents should call 911. Additional contact numbers include 972-547-2741 for the narcotics tip line and 972-547-2835 for traffic complaints.
