The Houston Texans evaluated linebacker Kenneth Murray during a visit Tuesday but did not sign the former first-round selection. The workout came after Henry To'oTo'o was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury that is expected to keep him out for several months.
Houston also moved linebacker Jamal Hill up from its practice squad. Murray could provide another option at the position, including a potential role connected to the practice squad, although the team has not announced a contract with him.
Murray was an All-American at Oklahoma before the Los Angeles Chargers selected him 23rd overall in 2020. He joined the Tennessee Titans in 2024 and led that team in tackles.
The 27-year-old spent last season with Dallas after the Cowboys acquired him from Tennessee in an offseason trade involving two draft picks. He started all 16 games for Dallas and recorded 81 tackles, four tackles for loss, two pass breakups, one sack and one fumble recovery.
