Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins did not practice Thursday or Friday as he deals with a hamstring injury, putting his availability for the team's Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals in doubt.

Collins was injured during Wednesday's practice. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that he was uncertain to play, while a source told Schefter that Texans doctors did not consider the injury serious.

Ian Rapoport discussed Collins' status Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show*. Rapoport said the receiver had a minor hamstring issue and that missing consecutive practices was a negative sign, although the injury itself did not appear severe.

Collins opened the 2026 season with seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 27-year-old entered the season after recording more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous three years.

Collins' official status for the Bengals game was not yet clear in the source material. If he does not play, the source said he could be ready for Houston's Week 3 meeting with the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27.
