Texas A&M edge rusher Anto Saka has been included in The Athletic's 2026 "Freaks List," an annual compilation of outstanding athletes in college football, as announced by the school on Monday. Bruce Feldman, who compiles the list, described Saka as the most extraordinary athlete in a talented defensive line group.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 255 pounds, Saka is a graduate student from Baltimore who transferred to College Station from Northwestern. He shares the defensive line with other notable players, including Sam M'Pemba, who is 6-3 and 257 pounds and transferred from Georgia.
The Freaks List highlights remarkable athletic testing statistics reported by strength coaches and programs, focusing on raw physical ability rather than on-field performance. This means players can be recognized even before they have participated in games with their new teams. Texas A&M did not disclose Saka's specific ranking on the list.
The list was published as the Aggies continue their Fall Camp, with the season opener scheduled for September 5 at Kyle Field.
